Review of Everything Old by Amanda Hamm

In spite of the few things I didn’t like, I still will probably read this again because I loved the main characters so much. I would recommend this book for those who enjoy sweet romances, especially those who enjoy a new adult feel, young twenty-something characters who live at home.

Review of the Baggage Handler

Excellent! The quality of writing is excellent, drawing me in from the first page. The tone of this contemporary allegory somehow reminded me of the Shack, but, thankfully, without the violent images left stamped upon my very impressionable imagination. The Baggage Handler was handled much better (pun obviously intended).

Review of A Very Austen Valentine

As an Austen junkie, I really enjoyed this collection of novellas overall. I took the average of all 6 novellas and rated it a 4-star. On the whole, I enjoyed them, though I did find it a little confusing to go back and forth between timelines in the same Austen world.

Review of An Unpresentable Glory

An Unpresentable Glory, a contemporary Christian fiction, somewhat literary in flavor, is definitely not a book for those of us who just want a light romance to escape with. This book is for those who want to think hard, to be challenged in their beliefs, and to not escape from our current world but be confronted with several of its gritty issues.

Review of Finding Amor by Allison K. Garcia

Allison is a Latin author I had the privilege to meet at FAB’s Fall FB Party! I was intrigued by the idea of her story and knew I needed—though not necessarily wanted—to apply it to my life. It’s not the romance I thought it was, though. Rather, it’s more about finding the love between estranged mother and son and ultimately between God and His children.

Review of 12 Gifts of Christmas

Anyone looking for merely a clean romance but can't handle religion will not like this book. God, church, Jesus’ birth, missions, and prayer are all mentioned regularly without any apology, which I love.

Review of Dare to Begin Again

I gave this book 4-stars, because though not quite as practical as I had hoped, the motivation and inspiration were great, as were the Bible studies for each chapter's lesson.

Three Areas to Guard when Judging

I don't know about you, but sometimes I struggle with name-calling or personally attacking people I see as enemies, at least in my mind. I may not actually say these thoughts out loud or write them on social media for everyone to see, but I'm thinking them. Is there a time when this is permissible, even beneficial to do? This touchy subject led me to some rather surprising conclusions.
